Dr Antony Anderson

Antony has extensive international experience of multidisciplinary industrial contract research and the application of IT to project based manufacturing industry.  Working for Cambashi, he has carried out feasibility studies on the industrial uses of superconductivity, an investigation of the causes of catastrophic failures in electronic generators, and the development of cost estimating and project management systems for one-of-a-kind production.  For the past 6 years, he has been registered as an expert with Directorate General III of the European Commission IT Programme, evaluating proposals and projects in Integration in Manufacturing (IiM) and Technologies for Business Processes (TBP).  Recent consultancy work has included advice to German engineering SMEs on the application of the appropriate information technology, and on the strategic use of multimedia and the Internet in the north of England.  A fluent German and French speaker, he is an active fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, and is currently on the editorial advisory board for Engineering Management Journal and chairman of the IEE Archives Committee.  He is a frequent contributor to the review section of New Scientist.
