Cambridge, UK, Monday 10 February
2003. This year the Cambashi seminar for senior Sales and
Marketing executives working within the IT industry will focus on
making sure the user's voice is heard. The full one-day programme
features guest speakers representing the interests of IT users from
Industry. The seminar will be held at the Møller centre in
Cambridge on April 9th.
The Seminar will consider users' reasons for doing business with
vendors; offer pointers to the right portfolio of product and service
lines; and take a look at future market directions. This year's
guest speakers will be Brian Frame of Texol Technical Solutions
and Mike Twelves of Corus Automotive. Other speakers during the
event will include Cambashi's Mike Evans, Peter Thorne, Allan Behrens
and Julie Fraser, who will bring a North American perspective to
the day.
According to Mike Evans, Cambashi's managing director, "We
already know that 2003 will be tough. Vendors need to focus on improving
sales execution. Sales people will have to work harder and be more
effective in proposing creative solutions to match the users' demands."
He maintains, however, that there are still orders to be won for
IT vendors in the market, but that tuning in to the users' agenda
is absolutely vital. He adds, "Our guest speakers, from process
manufacturing and contract manufacturing will tell IT vendors how
to get that order."
